IDITAROD
Anchorage Alaska, United States 29 Feb 08
These events occurred during a winter trip to Alaska, without traveling by motorcycle.

Today I find myself in Alaska, getting ready to depart on the world-famous Iditarod dogsled race covering 1150 miles of backcountry between Anchorage and Nome. My bush-pilot friend Paul Claus was contracted by the Discovery Channel to fly and provide logistical support for a documentary on this year's race, and he asked me if I'd come up and lend him a hand.

So, here I am, bikeless in the snow, continuing the Journey by other means.
